Just A New Name...
THE NEW LOOK OF THE MCCS CHANNELS HAS BEEN UNVEILED FOR THE 1ST TIME ON THE LETTERHEAD.
THE ON AIR LAUNCH ON 1ST JUNE 2012 WILL SEE STAR NEWS CHANGE ITS LOGO AS ABP NEWS IN HINDI, STAR ANANDA AS ABP ANANDA IN BENGALI AND STAR MAJHA AS ABP MAJHA IN MARATHI .
New Delhi 7th May 2012,Further to my earlier communication to you, announcing the withdrawal of the star brand and the re launching of the MCCS news channels Star News as ABP News in Hindi, Star Ananda as ABP Ananda in Bengali and Star Majha as ABP Majha in Marathi.
I am happy to inform you that this re-launch would be happening from 1st June 2012 on air. We are launching this through a massive communication campaign which begins later today. Our communication has been developed by one of the best advertising Teams in the country –Lowe Mumbai and the media buying plan has been developed throughMindshare. We would be over the next 8 weeks aggressively communicating the change using a combination of TV, Print, Radio, Outdoor and Internet to all our viewers and stakeholders about our new name and logo - which incidentally is carried in the letterhead as well.
The 3 news channels of MCCS have developed into market leaders in their segments over the last 8 years which has helped MCCS evolve as a strong and respected broadcast news company. It has quality resources in its employees and has built good equity amongst its stakeholder, loyal viewer base, clients, distribution partners and vendors.
Our channel is managed by fine bunch professionals - editors, journalists, technicians –who would continue to maintain the highest standards of ethical journalism. We also have a strong and professional set of people in sales, marketing and distribution who would continue to strive to ensure that value is delivered to their clients. Consistent with this fact, we have a simple communication theme - OurStars don’t change, our News does not change, only our name changes.
